Currently Head of Leaderonomics’ Career Division, Andrew Lau has vast experience across multiple roles in the oil & gas industry, specialising in talent development & project management. He has almost 10 years of working experience, the bulk of which was spent at Shell.

In Shell, Andrew worked extensively in Asia and Europe implementing commercial projects with values exceeding USD 110 Million, managed global IT orders exceeding USD 50 Million, implemented change initiatives for thousands of Shell staff and conducted workshops for senior global & regional leaders. He was also brand custodian for Shell FuelSave, Shell’s main grade fuel in Malaysia. In this role he spearheaded Shell’s biggest product launch in 5 years; garnering a 3 fold increase in sales volumes. He is also a recipient of 4 Special Recognition Awards from Shell.

Andrew started his career as a sales specialist before advancing rapidly in Shell where he held various roles including Customer Service Executive, Operational Buyer (Supply Chain), Lead Procurement Analyst (Finance), Brand Manager (Marketing).

He was in the pioneer batch of Shell Assessors, where he was charged with interviewing & recruiting top graduate talents for Shell. He was also a Campus Ambassador for Shell in Universiti Malaysia Sabah – helping Shell to become the No. 1 Employer* of choice among graduates in Malaysia.

Andrew graduated with a degree in computer science from UPM, is a certified Business Analyst from George Washington University and also a certified Shell Graduate Assessor.

He is an avid guitar player and is currently the touring guitarist for Juwita Suwito, playing in various concerts, festivals and charity events. He has also played for artistes such as Dato’ Siti Nurhaliza, Faizal Tahir, Jacqueline Victor, Vince Chong, Liang, Atilia, Francesca Peter, and many others. He has played in shows like One in A Million, 8TV Quickie, NT7 Breakfast Show and also played in various album recordings.
